Captain EO In 1986, Epcot was a state-of-the-art theme park. The Star Wars trilogy had fixed itself in the national psyche, Disney was riding high - and Michael Jackson was at the peak of his career, having released Thriller just a few years before. Captain EO combined all of these into a 3D film that is half space adventure, half music video. After 16 years the film has returned to Epcot for an "indefinite" run in it's original location - displacing Honey, I Shrunk The Audience - giving younger guests a glimpse of the Epcot of the 1980s.

The Seas with Nemo & Friends The Living Seas Pavilion has the notable distinction of being one of the largest saltwater aquariums in the world and, at the same time, having very few visitors – almost zero for the aquarium alone. We don't know exactly why this is the case, though Disney doesn't do a great job of marketing this attraction. While there are nearly 10,000 inhabitants in this monstrous underwater world, the access to it's creatures is not like a normal aquarium and you will often find yourself struggling to see any of the marine life.

Spaceship Earth It was always Walt Disney’s idea to create something large and attention-grabbing to help draw park visitors to a central gathering area, and to assist them with navigation by providing a hub of sorts to come back to whenever one became disoriented. These objects were called “wienies” and each park’s wienie is quite obvious – as it should be. Spaceship Earth, while technically a wienie, isn't really a landmark at which people draw together to huddle and plan the rest of their day. Once a park visitor is contemplating souvenir purchases in Italy, for example, a walk back to Spaceship Earth is the farthest thing from their mind and perhaps their ability. It is a LONG walk!
